HDMI Extension Board Layout

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) Extension board is a compact audio/video interface which allow you to transmit encrypted uncompressed digital data.

HDMI interface is a digital alternative to consumer analog standards, such as radio frequency (RF) coaxial cable, composite video, S-Video, SCART, component video, D-Terminal, or VGA (also called D-sub or DE-15F). HDMI connects digital audio/video sources (such as set-top boxes, DVD players, HD DVD players, Blu-ray Disc players, AVCHD camcorders, personal computers (PCs), video game consoles (such as the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U), AV receivers, tablet computers, and mobile phones) to compatible digital audio devices, computer monitors, video projectors, and digital televisions.

Extension board components:

 
1. Demoboard Connector J1 to plug extension board to compatible LPC-4350-DB1 or LPC-1850-DB1 demoboard.
2. HDMI controller U1
3. I2C Address Pins J5 jumper for selecting I2C address pins.
4. Button S1 button for assigning user action.
5. HDMI connector J4 HDMI connector for connecting compatible monitor or TV.
